Refurbishment of a property for the Cooperative Insurance Society Ltd in a sensitive location constructed in the mid 1980’s as three separate buildings occupied by a single tenant. The project included removal of one main core and relocation of another to produce high quality office space suitable for corporate occupiers. The smallest of the three original buildings separated for residential use. Additional area was created by conversion of the roof plant area to offices. INK added value by carefully selecting a design team with the right experience and resource availability. INK also took great care to obtain clarity on restraints imposed by title matters, neighbours rights to light and planning constraints. The planned refurbishment period extended through a period of exceptionally high tourist activity and to reduce the risk of this causing delays, the strip out package was developed to include cleaning of stone facades and window replacement.
