INK were appointed by the Cooperative Insurance Society Ltd to project manage the partial demolition, reconstruction and fit out of an occupied building in Central London providing office, retail and residential accommodation. The key issue facing this project was shared access for retail, office and residential users. Working closely with the architect, INK recommended a number of structural amendments which enabled separate access for each of the user groups, thus significantly increasing potential rental values. In addition, INK recommended the removal of an internal staircase on the ground floor which allowed for an increase in Category A retail space and subsequent increase in rental value.
